Serendipity

I’ve been crying for two hours over Zach Sobiech. He died on my parents anniversary, May 20th,  surrounded by family, friends, and his girlfriend, Amy that he says “he will literally love until death do us part.” I’ve read every article, watched every video, listened to every song. He is just so beautiful. His love for Christ, his realization that God has a plan and that God is in charge. In one of his mom’s posts on caringbridge, she says, “About a year ago, as I wrestled with God over letting Zach go, I remember telling Him, “Alright.  You can have Zach - he’s yours.  You have a plan that I cannot fathom…the picture is too big and I am too close. But, if he must die - let it be for something big.  I want big.

I think big is happening.” 

My heart hurts for their family but my soul soars for their faith, their love, and their trust in God’s plan. His music and his documentary are pieces of love and joy and blessings all wrapped up, better than bacon. 

Zach Sobiech changed my life tonight and I am eternally grateful. 

He is one of the best brothers in Christ for real. 

One Women’s Retreat this weekend. Pray for us for safe travels and a holy God filled weekend. 

Also I got a 16,000 dollar scholarship to Franciscan university of Ohio so PRAY PRAY PRAY that St. Anthony finds and tells me where I’m supposed to be. 

It says, “AMERICA, DEFEND LIFE” with a giant fetus on it <3

So excited for school tomorrow because of my shirt. 

I’m not a misandrist, but I’d never marry a man who wasn’t a virgin. Seriously, they should have some respect for themselves and save their precious virginity for me, no one wants an apple that everyone has already taken a bite out of.

First of all, we don’t have the right to judge someone for losing their virginity. While I’d like the man I marry to be a virgin, he may not. He may have been drunk, he may have been raped, he may have made a mistake but me, as his hopeful wife, should love him for his mistakes and should support him because i’m the one with the ring on and the sacrament, not the girl he had sex with. 

Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that they may be forgiven and the gates of Heaven opened. He did not die on the cross so we could condemn those who have sinned.

You can’t be a cafeteria Catholic because then, you’re not really Catholic at all. 

Actually we were sitting at the dinner table and I was scraping something out of a pan and my mom went to help me and I said, “Mom, I am a strong, large independent black woman. I can handle it.” She said, “Maybe that’s you on the inside.” I said, “No. I’m a Victoria’s Secret model on the inside.” My mom: “Oh good. THen you can pay for college.”

WAY TO STRESS ME OUT.

Then my dad is all, “Do you know the salary for what you want to do?” And my mom was all, “Why does that even matter?” And he goes on and sadlgjhsjkfghsfg. RUDE. So annoyed and stressed for no reason because he’s being dumb. 

Yes I know my projected salary. No, it’s not going to make me change my mind. It’s a vocation, not a decision. 

So young people, remember, God’s direction for your life is not a decision because I am almost 100% positive that you will end up where He wants you to be regardless of your free will because our soul is meant to be in Heaven and strives for Heaven and our soul talks to God. We don’t talk to God. Our soul does. 

Do you love your dog?
